Jenny Cook - Artist/Craftswoman Specialising in Carved and Painted Wood

My main inspiration comes from all things botanical and buildings in the landscape. The wood is largely recycled from industrial packaging. The work, using fret saw, carving tools and acrylic colours is greatly influenced by the knots and grain of the rough wood which also impart a richness of surface to the finished piece.

The pieces that I create are all original and one-off and range in size from just a few centimetres to no more than one metre in any one direction.

My unique wall panels and free-standing pieces adorn many public and private collections in the UK and abroad. Commissions are enthusiastically welcomed as are enquiries from both galleries and private individuals.
